This has been perhaps the definitive philosophy that has remained predominant in Dean's perception towards music, an enthusiastic collector of deep house, broken beats, rare groove, soul and jazz.

Based in Perth for 6 years, He has appeared as a regular guest on Gareth Richardson's infamous full frequency show (RTR FM independent radio) and other House music radio shows in Perth, as well as played at various clubs in the Perth clubbing circuit.

Returning back to Singapore, he has played alongside with some of the finest local and foreign DJs in Zouk, Liquid Room, Centro360, Sound Bar, Nox and Insomnia.

Besides Perth and Singapore, Dean has also played at clubs in Penang (headlining for the Heineken Green Room Sessions with his partner, Kaye on saxophone), Manahouse in Jakarta, Indonesia (2004), the infamous Jazz Rooms in Brighton (Jazz Room All Stars, 2004), Mother Bar (London, 2004) and the Heineken Green Room Festival in K.L, Malaysia, where Reel People were the headline act.

His experience with outdoor Dance music festivals is also impressive, the most well known being Elevation 345 (Singapore, 2004), Elevation 245 (Singapore, 2003), Enroute2 (Sentosa, 2002), Destination Unknown (Singapore, 2001), Zoukout 2 (Sentosa 2002). His exposure with international DJs has seen him warming for and playing alongside the best like Russ Dewbury (2003), Zero DB (2003), Pablo Valentino (2003) and Nik Weston (2004).
Dean has played at high profile parties in Zouk as well, like the fashioned themed “Very Vain” party (2002), and he was also the invited local DJ for the opening of the Nu Beats night Phuture (2002).

Dean is also the Saturday night resident at Sound Bar at Liquid Room, where he helms the Dance&Soul night with his partner, Kaye, on sax.
